The teacher uses these experiences to create instructional opportunities that maximize student learning.

Description:

This unit plan was created to give the students an introduction into photoshop. The class had been given a set of Ipads with the photoshop app on them. I wanted the students to use these Ipads as a resourse for creating art, students in this class had not had much experince with working digitally, Using the ipads was to give them grip on how one oporates the new addition to their classroom. addisionally, I want to teach the students how to find images on the internet that are labled for reuse, in order to give them more creative freedom.

Rationale:

Using my skills in creating digital art in photoshop I gave the students this lesson in digital collage. The students will be able to navigate photoshop and think about ideas of images that they want to use in their collages using reusable digital images they find on google. This work is meant to give them pratice using basic toolls in photoshop and practice save image reuse.

Evidence:   See unit plan below.

1. The students abiltilyto use creativity on assignment

2. Undetstanding the  basic knowledge of photoshop Tools and Menus

3. Showing knowledge of design techniques

4.Project slide show / Slide show questions

1

The summative assessment being the final Digital collage project and the formative assessment being the slide show and questions they will be given to work on throughout then assignment.

Rationale:  The formative assessment allows me to see how the students are doing with understanding photoshop and how to use it. It is a good time for an assessment because it allow me to see where they are at before they move onto the final project. The summative assessment shows me what they learned overall and how they improved since completing their practice image.

The slide show that the students are creating gives allows me to guage the progress the students are making in their first example projects. this will help me better understand how the students are catching on to work in photoshop, and if there are things I need to go over twice. The final project should reflect their work in this project and willbe graded as the summative protion of this project.

Evidence: See examples below.
